Pudong is often used to represent Shanghai, an indication of its financial prowess and future direction. During my stay in Shanghai I used it not only as a visual reference to orientate me in the city, but also a mental reference in an attempt to comprehend the scale and rate of the change Shanghai has and will undergo.
